I’m off tomorrow to the Romance Writers of Australia conference in Sydney and I’m really looking forward to it. This is just about my favourite time of the year–CONFERENCE SEASON! Yippee! The chance to drag out the few remaining evening clothes I have that either (a) still fit and (b) are remotely still in fashion. It’s going to be heaps of fun this weekend, Thursday night is a Harlequin Authors’ Dinner, hosted by the wonderfully generous and lovely Harlequin Sydney staff, Friday is an all day workshop with the inimitable Jennifer Crusie followed by a Venetian Carnevale themed cocktail party, followed by more workshops on Saturday and an Awards Dinner in the evening, then more workshops on Sunday. Then the following weekend I get to do it all again here in New Zealand.
Ah, the life I lead ![]()
Yvonne:
I have linked your site to my e-journal under the category “Bibliotheca” for readers interested in literature and literaries, hopefully you will not object. I am not a huge fan of romance novels, however, I also recognize talent and appreciate literature in general. After all, Anne Rice wrote three romance novels as a sideline from her usual “Danse Macrabe” material involving the supernatural world.
Have a good trip to New Zealand, a place I have tried to visit (along with Australia) for the many years I served with the US Army. I will just have to accept the alternative of corresponding with Australians and New Zealanders. I have had the pleasure to be a part of several missions with members of the Australian armed forces and truly respect our friends from there and New Zealand.
Good luck on your workshop endeavors.

Keith, thanks for the link! Sorry it took me so long to answer, I’ve been in Sydney (surprise!)
I actually live in New Zealand (lucky me) and love to visit Australia. They’re amazing countries to see so if you ever get the chance to travel downunder make sure you allow plenty of time to enjoy them both.
Cheers!
